Rajnikant today said Amitabh Bachchan is his inspiration and guru. "He (Amitabh) is my inspiration, role model and guru," said Rajnikant after the music release of his upcoming mega budget film 'Robot' here tonight. The music was released by Amitabh Bachchan. While lyrics are by Swanand Kirkire, music is by Oscar-winner A R Rahman. The two megatars shared the dais after three years. The last time Rajnikant was in Mumbai was to show his movie 'Shivaji' to Amitabh. "We have done films like 'Andha Kanoon', 'Giraftar', 'Hum', and I can never forget the love, affection and care he showered on me," said the 60-year-old South Indian film legend. "I have always valued his advise while taking important decisions," he added. Regarding 'Robot, he said he has worked with directorShankar in 'Shivaji' too. But this role was tough and challenging, he said. Kamala Hassan and Shah Rukh Khan were approached for this role earlier. But I do not know what happened. 'Avatar’ sequel to explore Pandora’s oceans

While James Cameron’s ‘AVATAR’ prepares for a worldwide special edition re-release on Aug 27, the director has already revealed his plans for a sequel. And if you thought ‘Avatar’ was big, here’s something to look out for. Cameron wants the next installment of his ‘Avatar’ franchise to explore Pandora’s oceans. Revealing this to the media recently, Cameron said that his fictional planet’s aquatic life was equally rich and “diverse and crazy and imaginative” as its famously colourful land-based equivalent. According to him, many of the scenes would actually require underwater filming. “I think what we should do there — because we’ll have to have characters that are in and under the water — is that we should actually capture them underwater,” Cameron explained. “It’s not the same as going diving, but I like to keep my diving, which I do for pleasure, separate from work.” Cameron also revealed that he’ll be adding footage to the film’s eventual special edition DVD. It’s probably Cameron’s fondness for diving as a hobby or simply his fascination for water-related filmmaking (‘Titanic’, ‘The Abyss’) that’s responsible for this move. But whatever it is, it sure has the fans excited. |

Rajnikanth off to Mumbai for Hindi ‘Robot’
Superstar Rajnikanth will be visiting Mumbai after 15 long years for the music release of his upcoming movie ‘Robot’. The Tamil film’s audio was launched in Kuala Lumpur a couple of weeks ago. Recently, the songs of the Telugu version, ‘The Robot’, too were launched at Hyderabad with superstars Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu releasing the album.On August 14, Rajnikanth will be flying down to Mumbai along with AR Rahman and Shankar for musical release. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be present for the occasion.Shankar had previously made his direct Hindi film ‘Nayak’ with Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherji in lead roles.Shahrukh Khan was supposed to produce and act in Shankar’s ‘Robot’ and the project was dropped on the spur of the moment, due to difference of opinions. Pawan Kalyan’s Upcoming Movie Updates
Pawan Kalyan’s new movie under the direction of Jayanth C Paranjee will begin its regular shooting from August 29th. This movie will be produced by Ganesh Babu as Production No. 1 on Parameswara Arts banner. Some of the important features of this film are: 1) About 100 people are working on day and night to construct a magnificent set for this film. The most important scenes involved in the story will be shot in this huge set which would be the main highlight. 2) The movie will commence from August 29 onwards. We are likely to begin this schedule with about 300 unit members. Producer Ganesh Babu is making this film without compromising in any department. 20 days of shoot is planned in some new locations at Kasi. 3) Pawan Kalyan always reminds us of different costumes. He takes special interest in his costumes according to the role he portrays in each film. In this regard he is right now in Europe for getting his costumes designed accordingly. This shows his dedication towards his work. Yet another highlight of the film would be Pawan Kalyan’s look. 4) The dialogue writer Trivikram Srinivas Rao has turned director and gave wonderful blockbusters to the Telugu Film Industry, one among them is Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Jalsa’. After turning director Trivikram Srinivas for the first time is providing dialogues. This itself has generated lot of craze for this film. The punch dialogues written by Trivikram would certainly create sensation at the box office. 5) The shooting will start with a 20 day shoot in superb locations in Kasi followed by Patiyala, Amritsir, Pune, Italy and USA.
