Sreeram Chandra Wins Indian Idol 5

It’s a dream come true for this young lad from Secunderabad who has now captured the entire music community by his unforgettable and breath-taking performances. In the Grand Finale on August 15, 2010, Sreeram Chandra became the first South Indian to win the title Indian Idol 5, after beating his fellow contestants Rakesh Maini and Bhoomi Trivedi. This Indian Idol 5 fetched Sreeram Rs 50 lakh gift cheque apart from Tata Winger Platinum, Maruti Suzuki bike, a contract with Sony Entertainment and the chance to sing in Yash Raj Films. What more we can expect as recognition for aTelugu boy, who has stolen everybody’s heart including the judges Anu Mallik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Saleem, by his mesmerizing voice. The thrilling performance by all three contestants – Bhoomi, Rakesh and Sreeram, who have been rocking the Indian Diaspora in different countries as well as the music lovers in India has come to an end with Kareena’s short and sizzling appearance and mind boggling performance of the three contestants which also brought out their dancing abilities apart from singing. Shankar Mahadevan today made a memorable appearance with his trade mark singing along side dear Sreeram who the entire Telugu community has been praying to become Indian Idol 5. Last came Mr Amitabh Bachchan with his charismatic voice and enviable personality who also reminded everybody of his next assisgnment KBC 4. He is the chief guest to announce the winner by pressing a button for a screen which displayed Sreeram’s face.
